Tony Iwane is an environmental educator with Tree Frog Treks in San Francisco.
He grew up in Hawaii, kept innumerable lizards and spiders as pets, and explored the coasts of the islands. He’s been a resident of the Bay Area for nine years and believes that getting out, exploring, and understanding our surroundings is a noble (and fun!) endeavor -- there’s nothing better than tidepools for that!
When the tide is high, Tony enjoys looking for snakes, lizards, salamanders and spiders, and is even starting to get comfortable with the term “birding” as a verb.
