Fall Migration Bird Walk

0.00

September 30th, 2015; 8 AM - 11 AM

September is a big month for bird migration in California. Warblers, tanagers, flycatchers, wrens, and others often stack up in resource-rich patches of habitat along the coast (called 'migrant traps') as they make their way south. We'll talk about the biology and evolution of bird migration as we stroll around one of westside Santa Cruz's best birding spots.

Please bring binoculars (I'll have a few loaners as well), appropriate clothing, and water.

Sign-up is required, but this event is free to all. A suggested donation of $5 helps make these events sustainable!
