Justine Faust grew up exploring, crawling around, and questioning the wild lands of the greater Bay Area. She began her natural history journey by incessantly writing in her nature journal while on a field course during her studies in Santa Cruz. Since then, she's been focused on botany and ways of explaining it to adults, kids, and herself. She enjoys the wild patterns of plants very much, and is fairly obsessed with finding as many wildflowers as she can. Justine recently moved to Oakland after teaching on a farm in Marin, and now finds herself wildcrafting, learning more about her plant allies, and scanning CalFlora when she isn't teaching or walking.
